The QDX Type Portable All Stainless Steel Submersible Sewage Pump is an electromechanical integrated equipment designed specifically for sewage and weakly corrosive liquids. How to choose a submersible sewage pump?

Select the corresponding sealing material based on the characteristics of the medium (such as PTFE machine seal with strong corrosion resistance).

For scenes that require frequent movement, priority should be given to automatic start stop models with float switches.

Note: The specific model parameters need to be confirmed in conjunction with the supplier's documentation, for example, there may be slight differences in functional emphasis between the "QDX/WQD" cutting type and the "QDN" automatic type.



How to install a submersible sewage pump?

  • Underwater installation: The pump body should be completely submerged, and the motor part is allowed to protrude from the liquid level by no more than 1/2 of the height, with a submergence depth of ≤ 5 meters.

  • Pipeline connection: The outlet is connected to the target position through a hose or hard pipe to ensure that the pipeline is not leaking or excessively bent.

  • Power configuration: Match rated voltage (110-660V), ground protection, to avoid voltage drop caused by long-distance power supply.

  • Automatic control: The float switch needs to be adjusted to a reasonable liquid level trigger point to avoid frequent starting and stopping.

  • Maintenance preparation: Regularly clean the impeller debris, check the wear of the seals, and stop using the liquid in the rear air pump in cold environments.

1. Daily inspection and cleaning

Pipeline and component inspection

Check the pump body pipeline and joints for looseness every week, and manually rotate the impeller to confirm flexibility.

Clean the debris on the inlet and impeller surface to prevent fibers or particles from blocking the flow channel.

Cable and Waterproof Performance

Regularly inspect the cables for cracks or scratches, and replace them immediately if any damage is found.

Confirm the sealing of the motor casing (IP68 waterproof rating) before each use.


2. Lubrication and sealing maintenance

Lubricating oil management

Replace the lubricating oil after the first 100 hours of operation, and replace it every 500 hours thereafter to ensure that the oil level is at the centerline of the oil gauge.

If the engine oil is emulsified or mixed with water, it is necessary to replace the engine oil and check the mechanical seal status.

Sealing system maintenance

Inspect the double end mechanical seal annually, and replace the sealing ring if the clearance between the impeller and the sealing ring exceeds 0.5mm.

Adjust the packing gland to maintain a drip rate of 30-60 drops per minute in the packing chamber.


3. Operation monitoring and operating standards

Operational parameter control

Keep the flow rate and head within the range indicated on the nameplate to avoid motor burnout caused by overload operation.

Monitoring voltage fluctuations should be within ± 10% of the rated value to prevent abnormal voltage from damaging the motor.

Temperature and condition monitoring

The bearing temperature during operation shall not exceed the ambient temperature of 35 ℃, and the maximum temperature shall be ≤ 80 ℃.

If abnormal noise or vibration is detected, immediately stop the machine and contact professional personnel for maintenance.


4. Special working condition handling

Winter and long-term disuse

After use in cold winter, the liquid inside the pump should be emptied to prevent the pump body from freezing and cracking.

If the pump has been out of use for more than one month, the pump body should be disassembled, wiped dry, and coated with rust proof grease for storage.

Treatment of media containing impurities

Regularly clean the sediment in the impeller and pump chamber when the sediment content is high, and install a filter screen if necessary.

If the medium contains fibers, check the blade wear after enabling the cutting function.


5. Suggested maintenance cycle

Daily: Check cable status, operating temperature, and noise.

Monthly: Clean up debris from the impeller and test insulation resistance (≥ 5 megohms).

Every year: replace seals and lubricants comprehensively, and test motor performance.

By standardizing maintenance, the lifespan of the pump body can be significantly extended, avoiding the risk of shutdown due to blockage or seal failure
